Wilkes-Barre man arrested after allegedly strangling woman during domestic dispute

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A 31-year-old man is in custody after police say he assaulted and strangled a 24-year-old woman during a violent domestic altercation on West Ross Street Monday evening.

Officers responded around 6:13 p.m. to a reported domestic dispute at a residence, where they spoke with the victim. According to police, the woman reported that during a verbal argument, Lee Tucker struck her multiple times with a closed fist, forced her to the ground, and placed his hands around her neck, restricting her ability to breathe.

Following the alleged assault, Tucker fled the scene before officers arrived.
