Ryanair has confirmed that passengers can now bring a bigger, free carry-on bag on board its flights from today.

The budget airline has confirmed that new bag sizers have now been installed at all of the 235 European airports it operates from.

It means Ryanair passengers can now bring on board a bigger, free personal bag measuring 40 x 30 x 20cm, which is 33 per cent larger than the EU standard free carry-on bag 40 x 30 x 15 cm.

Previously passengers could bring onboard one free bag measuring 40 x 25 x 20cm with a volume of 20 litres.
