Flying in September will be cheaper than the summer.

Average round-trip tickets from Phoenix in September 2025 will cost $275, according to new data from travel website Hopper . That's down $12 from August, as airfare costs drop during the shoulder season between Labor Day and Thanksgiving.

Travelers will pay close to 26% more for September airfares in 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, Hopper spokeswoman Ellie Breslin said.
