Check your numbers! A Powerball ticket sold in suburban Chicago just made someone $1 million richer.
The million-dollar ticket, sold as part of Wednesday's $1.4 billion Powerball drawing, was sold at Joe's Tobacco & Vape, located at 1945 W. Galena Blvd. in Aurora, the Illinois Lottery said.
According to officials, the Powerball ticket matched five numbers to score $1 million . Six other Powerball tickets sold in Illinois scored $50,000 each, the Illinois Lottery website showed, and more than 100 winners snagged $100.
Million-dollar Powerball tickets were also sold in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, Ohio and Pennsylvania, lottery officials said.
In Michigan, Oregon, Texas and Wyoming, lucky Powerball tickets worth $2 million each were sold, with players ma
