Valley National Bank and pharmaceutical giant Novartis are laying off more than 100 employees combined through June 2026, public filings show.
Novartis, based in East Hanover, is laying off 58 employees between Nov. 28 and June 26 next year, according to a September notice filed with the New Jersey Department of Labor.
Valley National Bank, which has been based in Morristown since 2022 , laid off 59 employees there between June 13 and Aug. 22, according to public filings with the state Labor Department.
Representatives from Valley bank did not return multiple emails seeking comment for this story, and the state Labor Department said as of Sept. 3 that it did not receive a full notice about the layoffs from Valley National Bank.
