Smoke from several wildfires will continue to cause poor air quality in parts of the Foothills this week.

On Thursday, the most severe smoke pollution is expected from Calaveras County southward through Fresno County. Conditions on Friday and this weekend will depend on how actively fires burn over the next couple of days.

Haze will be seen over the Valley at times, but air quality is not expected to be an issue there.

Temperatures will be dropping through the weekend. Valley temperatures will stay in the low 90s Thursday, the upper 80s on Friday and then likely the mid 80s both Saturday and Sunday.

A few Sierra showers are possible each of the next few afternoons. Expect isolated downpours above 6,000 feet between 1 pm and 7 pm.
