KOKOMO, Ind. -- Kokomo police have arrested a man following an investigation into child solicitation allegations.

According to the Kokomo Police Department, an investigation into 26-year-old Malik Salazar was launched on Aug. 31 when a child solicitation incident was reported. The complaint was then turned over to KPD's Criminal Investigations Section and Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

As the investigation unfolded, detectives soon identified Salazar as their suspect. They also determined that he had previously been convicted of child solicitation in Howard County.
