An Arizona man accused of murdering his girlfriend and her dog and then calling his ex to boast about it has been found guilty .
Taton Dorfman, 30, was convicted Wednesday of second-degree murder for the killing of 30-year-old Hannah Rogers, local Tucson CBS affiliate KOLD reported .
Dorfman committed the crime on the night of July 28, 2024.
He shot Rogers in the head, killing her, and he also shot and killed her dog, authorities said. Then, he called his ex-girlfriend.
According to local ABC affiliate KGUN , the suspect called his ex-girlfriend on FaceTime and showed himself lying next to Rogers' body, with blood around her head.
"I killed her! I did it!" he reportedly exclaimed.
