Fire restrictions for unincorporated portions of Larimer County above 6,000 feet in elevation were extended through September, officials said in a news release.
Acting upon the recommendation of Larimer County Sheriff John Feyen, county commissioners voted 3-0 in a Sept. 3 meeting to extend fire restrictions that had been in effect since Aug. 7 . Those restrictions ban uncontained open fires; smoking in the open, including on trails and in parks and open spaces; and all fireworks.
