While no one won the Powerball jackpot on Wednesday, a Texas player did win millions in the multi-state drawing.
The Texas Lottery said the new millionaire bought a Quick Pick ticket at a Barri 140088 at 601 North Cesar Chavez Boulevard in Houston and selected the Power Play option.
The winner’s ticket matched all five white balls (3, 16, 29, 61, 69), but not the Powerball (22), giving them a $1 million prize. The Power Play for the drawing was 2x, doubling any non-jackpot prize for players who purchased the add-on Power Play option — which the player in Houston did.
The Houston player who won $2 million was the only one in Texas to match all five white balls. Thirteen players in Texas won $50,000 for matching four of the five white balls. Four of those players bought the Power Play add
