HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. -- Court documents reveal that a retired Indianapolis metro police officer flashed his badge after being pulled over for suspected drunk driving in Hancock County.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed on Sept. 1, 67-year-old Gary King has been preliminarily charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a level 5 felony. But this isn't the first time King has been charged with driving while drunk.
This alleged incident occurred on Aug. 31 when an officer with the McCordsville Police Department was patrolling near the intersection of West 750 North and Hanna Street. While sitting near the intersection, the officer observed a black Ford Expedition traveling westbound at a high rate of speed.
