Josh Hall opened up on social media about the death of his nearly 11-year-old dog, Stella.

On Wednesday, Sept. 4, Hall, 44, shared the sad news on Instagram with a video compilation of images of him and Stella.

"We know what we are signing up for when we get a pet; they will more than likely go before us," he began the post's lengthy caption. "No matter how you prepare and how strong you think you are, nothing will prepare you for losing your loyal companion and the heartbreak that comes with it."
