SCHENECTADY — After five decades of housing the Union hockey programs, Messa Rink is now set to serve a new purpose inside the historic Achilles Center.

According to a press release from the college on Thursday afternoon, Union received a gift of $1 million to reconfigure the space into a new 27,000-square-foot indoor turf facility, set to be completed by Jan. 1, 2026.
