A second victim – a 24-year-old woman – has died in hospital several days after a house fire in Richmond Hill that is being investigated by Homicide detectives.

York Regional Police say emergency responders raced to the house fire near Skywood Dr. and Rollinghill Rd. just before 3 a.m. on Monday.

“Four victims were found in the residence and a fifth victim was located outside,” Const. James Dickson said in a statement released Thursday. “All five victims were transported to hospital in critical condition.”

An 11-year-old girl died in hospital on Tuesday – the day after the suspected arson.

And now police have revealed that Helya Bahari-Kashani, of Richmond Hill, “succumbed to her injuries” on Tuesday.

“The three other victims remain in critical condition,” Dickson said.
