CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WGHP) — One of East Forsyth High School's football stars has flipped his college commitment.
J.B. Shabazz, currently a senior offensive tackle at East Forsyth, was originally committed to play football for the Tennessee Volunteers alongside another Triad star in Grimsley's Faizon Brandon.
However, on Thursday, Shabazz flipped his commitment and will now play for the North Carolina Tar Heels.
247Sports ranks Shabazz as a 3-star prospect. He is also ranked the 26th-best player in the state of North Carolina and the 46th-best tackle in the nation.
