RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A man from Johnston County who bought his Powerball ticket online is now a millionaire after winning a big prize in Monday night's drawing.

According to the North Carolina Education Lottery, Daryl Steinhoff of Clayton purchased a $3 Powerball ticket that was full of "family numbers" through Online Play. It ended up winning $2 million in the Labor Day night drawing.

"The next day I got an email saying that I won something," said Steinhoff. "I was ecstatic and in disbelief."
