The University of Regina Rams kept their winning ways going at their home opener at Leibel Field in Regina on Friday night, beating University of Alberta Golden Bears 47-23 in Canada West football action.

The nationally ninth-ranked Rams, who were winners last week against University of Calgary Dinos, got things going early in the first quarter after a safety gave them a 2-0 lead before Alberta responded with a seven yard touchdown pass from fourth-year quarterback Eli Hetlinger to receiver Erik Torhjelm, making it 7-2.
