FARGO — Thousands of DIRECTV customers in the Red River Valley can breathe a sigh of relief if they are Minnesota Vikings fans.
The satellite television company and the corporate parent of KVRR-TV reached an agreement Friday, Sept. 6, to get the Fox affiliate back on DIRECTV, ending a 2 1/2-month dispute.
"DIRECTV has reached an agreement with Coastal Television to restore KVRR-FOX to streaming and satellite customers in Fargo and Valley City. KVRR-FOX has already returned," a spokesman for DIRECTV told The Forum on Friday night.
KVRR had not been available for local DIRECTV customers since July 17 because DIRECTV and KVRR's owner, Alaska-based Coastal Television Broadcasting Group, couldn't reach agreement on carrier fees.
