UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WHTM) — The Nittany Lions showed out in a dominant performance against the FIU Panthers in Week 2.
The game was tightly contested at the beginning, with Penn State leading FIU 10-0 at the end of the first half; however, the offense stepped up in the second half to win comfortably over the Panthers.
Fresh off forcing the Panthers to turn the ball over on downs for the second time, Penn State running back Kaytron Allen ripped a 67-yard touchdown run to make it 27-0 Penn State in the fourth quarter. Nick Singleton would tack on a TD run of his own in the final minutes of the game.
Quarterback Drew Allar finished 19/33 on the day with 200 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 9-yard TD pass to TE Khalil Dinkins and a 42-yard throw to Troy transfer wide receiver Devonte R
