BEMIDJI — The United Way of Bemidji Area thanks the community for their generous contributions made to its Stuff a Bus initiative, a K-12 school supply drive.

During the drive, community members donated more than 6,000 new school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, folders, pencil boxes, pencils, markers, crayons and colored pencils, a release said.

The drive significantly impacted the lives of kids attending Bemidji Area Schools by addressing their basic needs, promoting their health and aiding their education, according to the release.

The United Way of Bemidji Area thanked Paul Bunyan Broadcasting and LaValley Industries for helping pack backpacks, and Lueken's Village Foods for providing space for the packing.
