A Calgary city councillor wants the city to work with a local motocross association that is slated to lose its “world-class” racing venue in the coming years to accommodate a future transit facility.
Ward 9 Coun. Gian-Carlo Carra is bringing a notice of motion to Monday’s executive committee meeting that calls on the city to find a new temporary home for the association and to acknowledge motorsports as part of Calgary’s recreational framework.
