COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Empty chair after empty chair, symbolizing the lives lost to fentanyl across the state.

On Saturday, South Carolina families continued their fight against the fentanyl epidemic.

During a rally, they unveiled another billboard, using their loved ones’ stories to convey a bigger message.

One family member, Sandy Harrington, knows the pain of losing someone to the deadly drug.

Her nephew, Thomas Lamb, died two years ago after taking a pill he thought would help him sleep.

“Fentanyl, it takes our loved ones, but it takes a piece of us that we’ll never get back,” Harrington said.

Elizabeth Henderson lost her brother, Tim Wrenn, earlier this year.

She says sharing his story is her way of trying to save others.
