LUBBOCK, Texas (WKBN) - Kent State quarterback and Beloit native Dru DeShields scored two more touchdowns during a Flashes' 62-14 loss to #24 Texas on Saturday in Lubbock.

Facing a ranked power five program, DeShields completed 7-of-15 passes for 116 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. He also rushed for 22 yards and added a rushing touchdown.

The former West Branch record-breaking QB has completed 13-of-25 passes for 234 yards and two passing touchdowns and three total through the first two games of the season.

Kent State falls to 1-1 overall and will open up Mid-American Conference play by hosting Buffalo on Saturday, September 13.
