KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- While expectations were high among Kansas City Chiefs fans heading into Friday night's Week 1 game in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the Chiefs would end up falling flat.

While wide receiver Xavier Worthy went down with a shoulder injury just three plays into his sophomore season, it was clear the Los Angeles Chargers were playing with more intensity. According to Head Coach Andy Reid, part of that problem was on his end.

"We can learn from this as we move forward, which I've got to make sure I get my team in a better state there coming out, playing with more emotion," Coach Reid said.

"We were a little flat that first half, and that cost us."
