U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Ann Arbor, is worried that the country will not be prepared to handle another pandemic like the COVID-19 outbreak.
Dingell said during an interview on CNN Friday, Sept. 5 that she is “afraid people are going to die,” the day after Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy appeared before a U.S. Senate committee.
“If we get another COVID, we are not going to be ready, and people are going to die in mass numbers,” she told CNN’s Omar Jimenez. “I was scared to death to get the COVID vaccine, but I got it because it was saving lives. We need educated consumers, but we cannot throw this all out.”
