LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A neighborhood is on edge after a home invasion and shooting on Friday night.
A family said their house on Carmil Drive has been the target of violent incidents twice in recent weeks. Now, they just want whoever is responsible to stop.
“It came to the point where it was so loud that I thought, you know, should I shelter my family or my grandson?” said one neighbor, who wanted to remain anonymous.
That neighbor told WAVE she was about to go to bed Friday night when she heard 15 to 20 gunshots nearby.
Those shots had come from down the street, where a homeowner, who did not want to talk on camera, said five people in masks broke into her house and said they were part of LMPD. They then demanded money.
