The Padres scored 6 runs in the 2nd inning. Jake Cronenworth started the scoring with an RBI infield single for a 1-0 Padre lead.
Freddie Fermin followed with a 2 RBI double down the line in left that made it 3-0 Padres.
The big blow in the 6-run 2nd inning came from Fernando Tatis Jr. Tatis crushed a 3-run 441 foot homer off Rockies rookie pitcher McCade Brown.
Brown didn't make it out of the 2nd inning, as the Padres touched him up for 5 hits and 6 runs in just 1.2 innings.
With the win the Padres picked up a game on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the standings.
