Learner drivers are waiting up to five months for a test, spending hours searching for cancellations and paying extra for apps that might help them, research suggests.
More than one in five (21 per cent) drivers polled by Confused.com felt under pressure to pass because rebooking would take too long or cost too much, as more than one in four (27 per cent) had to wait two to four months between booking and taking their test.
