Walyalup captain Ange Stannett says the onus is on the players more than the coaches to bounce back after two of the worst losses in AFLW history.
The Dockers face an unbeaten Sydney outfit on Sunday, still smarting from twin hidings on their home turf at the hands of last season’s grand finalists Brisbane and North Melbourne.
After claiming the unwanted record of being the first AFLW side to lose by more than 100 points, Stannett said the message had been to focus on returning to the principles which previously made them successful — namely, ball movement and winning the contested battle against the Swans.
