Unai Emery is the manager Jadon Sancho needs to resurrect his career.

At 25, the winger finds himself in a situation similar - though perhaps more precarious - than the one Marcus Rashford was in when he arrived at Bodymoor Heath seven months ago.

The idea of Rashford returning to the England set-up and making the 2026 World Cup squad seemed far-fetched when he left Manchester United for Aston Villa . But if anyone was going to provide the platform he needed to rediscover his confidence and form, it was Emery.

Now, with Sancho aiming to make an impression under the Spaniard, it's hard to see where he would go from here if this latest loan move doesn't work out.
