UK tourists are being warned over the worst month to renew your passport. The most applications occur in March, with March 17 named the "peak" for passport renewals for UK households.
It means anyone who doesn't want to be hit by a delay or hold-up at the renewal office or Passport Office must act before that date. A Freedom of Information request revealed that a number of people have been caught out in previous years.
Mario Van Poppel from foreign currency provider Manor FX told us: "The thought of booking a trip and then realising your passport has run out is a nightmare for most. But it is something that has caught out many people over the years.
