SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- It may just be Week 1 of the High School football season, but Ballston Spa has made an early entry for game of the year.
Trailing 20-0 to Section 1's Eastchester at halftime of Saturday's Upstate/Downstate Kickoff Classic, the Scotties scored 21 unanswered points to stun those in attendance at Union College, and leave Frank Bailey Field with a remarkable, season-opening, 21-20 victory.
"We knew we were good enough to compete," said Ballston Spa senior quarterback/defensive back Chris Duclos. "Never lost hope. Stuff didn't go our way in the first half, but we knew that wasn't going to change anything. We knew we still had it in us. We had to fight hard in the second half, [but] we got it done."
Duclos was responsible for all three of Ballston Spa's second-ha
