This is the terrifying moment two people were seconds away from being crushed when the roof of a historic building suddenly collapsed.
CCTV footage shows the barrage of debris falling from the former Aakash building in Kirklees, West Yorkshire on Saturday morning (September 6).
Rubble, mortar and huge stone bricks crashed onto the ground from around 20ft in the air at around 10am. The video shows a woman instinctively turn around after being startled by a 'creaking' noise.
Seconds later, she witnesses a rainfall of dangerous brick and mortar just seconds later when the roof comes hurtling down onto the steps below.
