Two girls have been left injured following a collision with a car last night (September 6).

Police were called at around 8.30pm to reports of a crash between a car and two pedestrians on the junction of Leicester Road Middleton Road in Salford. It it reported to have taken place near to Crumpsall Tyres.

The driver is understood to have been travelling through a green light when the girls, both 16, were hit. The driver reportedly stopped at the scene.

Police have said that no arrests have been made following the incident.

The girls were left with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
