VALPARAISO, Ind. (WLS) -- Crews worked Sunday to clean up a freight train derailment that happened late Saturday night in northwest Indiana.
Chopper 7 was over the scene at the Fort Wayne to Chicago railroad crossing in Valparaiso on Sunday afternoon. No one was hurt in the derailment, and all the train cars involved were empty.

Street closures last for hours on Axe Avenue and Greenwich Street. All roads have since reopened as of Sunday evening, officials said.
Several other streets opened back up around 3 p.m. Sunday.
The police department said there was no further threat to public safety.
