PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead in the Cobbs Creek section of the city.

Gunfire rang out around 11 p.m. Saturday night on the 5800 block of Alter Street.

Police say they arrived to find a 28-year-old man who had been shot in the back of the head.

He died at the hospital.

Police say at least 7 shots were fired and one house was hit by a stray bullet.
