Morning sunshine will give way to partly cloudy skies for the middle of the day on Sunday. A stray lake-effect shower or two could possibly reach the northern portions of our viewing area, but otherwise we will remain dry.

It will be chilly for early September, with high temperatures only reaching the mid-60s in most spots. Skies will clear out again overnight, and low temperatures will drop into the low-40s.

High pressure sliding into the region will allow for bright sunshine on Monday with a few patchy afternoon clouds. Temperatures will still be below average, but we will reach the low-70s.

More seasonable weather is expected for the rest of the week with some more sunshine. Highs will be back in the upper 70s from Tuesday through the start of next weekend. A few more clouds will be
