PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- "It was something tragic, unexpected, that happened to him. He was a great kid," says Jose Gonzalez.

Gonzalez is remembering his nephew, Nelson Celda.

Police say it was just after 7:30 p.m. on the night of June 22nd when the 23-year-old was gunned down while riding his scooter at Tusculum and Howard streets in the city's Fairhill section.

"Who could have done this? Why? He wasn't a bad guy," says Gonzalez.

Police say that they are looking for two suspects who fired eight shots at Celda from a stolen white Honda.

Celda would die from his wounds just 13 minutes later.

He leaves behind a four-year-old son, and had another child on the way.

Celda's family is pleading for those responsible to come forward.
