There's a noticeable face missing from the Baltimore Ravens' nest in 2025 – Justin Tucker.
Sexual misconduct allegations and poor play ultimately doomed Tucker's future in Baltimore, as the team released him in May. The 35-year-old instead was forced to exit and pave the way for a youth movement at a key special teams position.
For the first time in team history, the Ravens made the decision to draft a kicker – Tyler Loop.
All eyes, and pressure, will be on the rookie to deliver results after Tucker's run of dominance for the Ravens.
Here's what to know about Tucker and a look at the new guy, Loop.
Where is Justin Tucker?
Tucker is suspended for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 NFL season and remains a free agent. The kicker will be eligible for reinstatement on Nov. 11 and can serve out the suspension as a free agent.
The five-time All-Pro was released by the Ravens on May 5 after sexual misconduct allegations were made by more than a dozen massage therapists. Following the allegations, the NFL opened an investigation in February and announced the suspension in June.
Tucker has maintained his innocence in the matter.
"I cannot be any clearer," Tucker said in a statement. "These accusations are false and incredibly hurtful to both me, and more importantly, my family."
Baltimore's decision to release Tucker likely also had a performance component as well. He made just 73.3% of kicks in 2024, a career-low.
Now the 35-year-old waits to see if he'll get another NFL opportunity once the suspension ends, but it appears unlikely there's a road back to Baltimore.
Who is the Ravens kicker?
Tyler Loop is the Ravens new kicker.
Baltimore selected him with the 186th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft – the first time in franchise history that the Ravens drafted a kicker.
Loop began his college career as a punter with Arizona before making the switch to kicker ahead of the 2021 season. He spent five seasons with the Wildcats before entering the draft in 2025.
The Ravens didn't have to worry about the kicking game for almost the entirety of Tucker's 13 seasons with the team. Loop has big shoes to fill, but the kicker will look to show he's up to the task for a team that is eyeing a Super Bowl this season.
