Ready to party for Oktoberfest? Like, really party Oktoberfest-style? Glendale’s sister city from Germany is bringing authentic music to the scene this month.

Some visitors to the West Valley this month will feel very at home.

Glendale will welcome to town representatives from its sister city Memmingen, Germany for the most perfect reason. The Kick Off to Oktoberfest party on Friday, Sept. 19, at the Glendale Civic Center will include a 22-piece Bavarian Brass Band from Memmingen.

Tickets include a German buffet dinner at which a cash bar will feature German beers and wines, plus music and dancing. Proceeds will support the Glendale Sister Cities program in sending local high scho
