Bill Belichick, who is not the head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels, is still feuding and carrying a grudge against the New England Patriots.
Bill Belichick has never been a fan of discussing anything that would take away from the field of play when it comes to football. Still, after North Carolina's win over Charlotte on Saturday, he didn't mind straying away from the topic of conversation a bit. Belichick was asked about the reported ban of the Patriots, and confirmed it is indeed in place.
"It's clear I'm not welcome around their facility, so they're not welcome at ours. It's pretty simple," Belichick told reporters. Belichick has been back at Gillette Stadium since he and the Patriots parted ways after the 2023 NFL season. He appeared in June 2024 when he took the stage with Tom Brady during the quarterback's Patriots Hall of Fame enshrinement, when Belichick received a massive ovation from the sellout crowd. But don't expect him to make any appearances in Foxboro anytime soon.
Belichick and Patriots owner Robert Kraft have had a reported falling out, but Kraft has mentioned the possibility of erecting a statue in Foxboro to honor Belichick. But, before this takes place, Belichick and Kraft may want to hash out the differences between the two.
