DALLAS — One person was shot and killed Sunday in southern Dallas, police said.

Police responded around 1:10 a.m. Sunday to the 7500 block of Chaucer Place, Dallas police said in a press release.

Officers determined that the victim was shot by an unknown suspect, the release states. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

Police are investigating the incident.
