BOZEMAN — The Montana State football team is 0-2 for the first time since 2017 after its 30-24 loss to South Dakota State in double overtime Saturday night in front of a Bobcat Stadium-record 22,117 fans.
Before Saturday, the Bobcats hadn’t lost a home-opening Gold Rush game since 2017. Just like this season, they began the 2017 campaign with a blowout loss at a ranked FBS program (Washington State in 2017, Oregon last week) and fell to SDSU a week later.
