Community mourns loss of Galveston police officer who died in off

GALVESTON – The Galveston Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its officers who died Saturday, according to the Galveston Municipal Police Association (GMPA).

Officer Ramiro Max Vasquez lost his life early Saturday morning in an off duty incident, according to GMPA.

“We ask for the community to pray for Max’s family as well as his brothers and sisters in blue,” GMPA stated in a social post.
