HARTSELLE, Ala. ( WAFF ) - Hartselle Police say six people were taken to nearby hospitals after a chase involving the Priceville Police Department ended with a violent crash in their city on Saturday.

Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn confirmed on Sunday that a 17-year-old in the crash has died, and another person is in critical condition at UAB Hospital.

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday near the intersection of Highways 31 and 36. A suspect has been taken into custody. At this time, police are not commenting on the condition of the other people who were injured or providing any details about the chase.
