A moving fireworks tribute has been held for an Edinburgh man who died last week. ‌

Police were called to Great Junction Street in the capital at around 2am on Tuesday, September 2, where 22-year-old John McNab was found injured and later died at the scene. ‌

Family and friends gathered at Leith Links at 8pm on Saturday, September 6, for a memorial in his honour. ‌

The tribute was organised by John’s girlfriend, Aimee, and his friends, with hundreds turning out to release balloons and lanterns before a fireworks display lit up the night sky.

Drone footage captured the stunning red and gold fireworks over the Edinburgh skyline, with the large crowd paying their respects below. ‌
