NEW YORK (AP) — Carlos Alcaraz has won the first set against top-ranked Jannik Sinner in the U.S. Open final.

The No. 2-seeded Alcaraz won the set 6-2 in 37 minutes once the match finally began after a delay because of extra security measures in place with President Donald Trump in a suite at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
