BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- The Kellen Moore era gets off to a disappointing start with the New Orleans Saints losing to the Arizona Cardinals x-x on Sunday in the Caesars Superdome to begin the 2025 season.
The Saints' defense laid the hammer early with defensive end Cam Jordan starting year 15 off with a sack on the first Arizona possession of the game, resulting in an 11-yard loss. However, the Cardinals got on the board first, kicking a 42-yard field goal on their second possession to go up 3-0.
New Orleans answered to start the second quarter with running back Alvin Kamara scoring the first Saints touchdown of the year on an 18-yard run to put the black and gold up 7-3.
