LINCOLN, Neb. (UNL) - The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team improved to 6-0 on the season with a 25-15, 25-18, 25-12 sweep of California in front of 8,521 at John Cook Arena at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Sunday afternoon.

The Huskers swept the weekend at the Ameritas Players Challenge, never trailing in the sweep of Cal. Nebraska finished with a .419 hitting percentage against the Golden Bears (2-2). NU’s defense was strong once again, holding Cal to a .088 hitting percentage.

Harper Murray had a team-high 14 kills with seven digs and three aces. Andi Jackson had a season-best 12 kills on .450 hitting with four blocks. Rebekah Allick posted six kills and four blocks, and Teraya Sigler recorded five kills and 10 digs.
