John McGinn knows this might be his last crack at ever getting to a World Cup with Scotland . ‌

He’ll turn 31 next month and six days before his birthday he should earn an 80th cap for his country. ‌

Having already been to two Euros with Steve Clarke ’s side, you could forgive our talismanic star for thinking about when he might step away from the national side. ‌

But then again, if you think that - you probably don’t know McGinn that well.

Pulling on a Scotland shirt means every bit as much to him now as it did when he made his debut against Denmark almost a decade ago.

He’s captain of Premier League outfit Aston Villa , so there’s an argument to say he should contemplate solely focusing on his club. ‌

But getting caps is too important to him.
